• Introduced by Sen. Juan M. Pichardo (D) on February 6, 2008, to provide free or taxpayer subsidized health insurance coverage to non U.S. citizens who are permanent residents. This act would also provide benefits funded solely by state taxpayers to children ineligible for federal medical assistance due to citizenship or alienage requirements.
