 Since my husband is a carpenter, a licensed one, I believe it is a good idea and weeds out those who are working without one or those who do not get proper permits or insurance as required by those who are licensed.


What I do not understand is the new rule of "registering" with the town also.  If one is licensed and insured with the state, why must one be "registered" in the town?  It seems like double dipping.  Those who play by the rules, seem to be getting punished twice.
