With the troubes financially the state is experiencing and iamong ts residents especially, I believe charging a fee fior a license on something that is so enjoyable and a great tourism tool  that brings income to our state is a very poor choice.  Salt water fishing is a great tourist boon for this state and its value of bringing other spending to the state.  To "tax" this would just send consumers to another state.    Enough!

i certainly don't think we need to tax salt water fishing. just another way of keeping people out of this state. just another way of taxing us to get a buck so our greedy politicians can spend it on themself

I couldn't agree more, dennis d. has nailed it.  When is this state going to be truly fiscally responsible, and stop nickel and diming the regular folk, in order to fill their pockets, and the pockets of those they are beholding to.  I have to give them credit, Caprio and Chafee have both got it right......We need to stop the corupt politics and cronyism here, the problem is, they are part of the problem.

Charging will really help , but if it is nominal .

If the charges are high they really gonna disturb the traffic .

Some people develop a wish bone where their back bone should be.
