    Re: 2010 Senate Bill 2145

Yes! By all means, support this bill!  We would be the frontrunners to the rest of the United States, which hasn't yet had any official National language bill entered in since our country began by our "founding fathers", if you can get passage on this important legislation.  Our state of RI could start a chain of reactions by other states to follow and then there would have to be an offical National English language legislation passed because We, the People of RI, want to have an English as the primary language of our state, and of our nation.

It costs us taxpayers millions, if not billions,  of dollars to translate many of the diversity of languages already exposed here in RI into too many documents and other means of translation for way too many of the immigrants (legal and illegal ones) here in RI and all over the country.  If budgeting the National and State deficits, this is ONE way to do it by making English the official language in this state.

We can teach English to the legal, naturalized immigrants who want to be become citizens of the United States of America and of Rhode Island with less dollars taken off of taxpayer money than to have translated documents and electronic devices for foreign nationals of this state.  By passing this important legislation, it would also add more jobs to tutors who'd want to teach the English language to foreign nationals, thus adding to the income and lessoning the state's debt and helping a naturalized immigrant obtain a job by speaking English adding more income to the state all at the same time.

Doesn't this make for a sound judgement call to pass this important legislation than to not pass it?

Please support this bill and tell other legislatures how important this bill would be to Rhode Island as for the rest of the United States of America.
